Joseph Simpson

Not only was Joseph in the 5th Delaware, but he also joined the "34th New York Independent Battery Light Artillery (Roemer's Battery) and participated in several major battles including Petersburg, Cedar Mountain, Sulphur Springs, Manassas, Fredericksburg, Vicksburg, Jacksonville and Knoxville."

Joseph mustered out in 1865 at the end of the Civil War".
