Civil War Related U.S. Stamps 1866 - 1970

NOTE:  Only major varieties of a stamp are listed, excluding differences due to watermarks, color shades, grills, paper, etc.  All people listed fought in, or served in some capacity in the Civil War.  For example:  Montgomery Blair was Lincoln's Postmaster General, Andrew Johnson, Lincolns Vice President, Clara Barton, Nurse.  Where an issue is printed in black, it usually denotes the nation in mourning for the person show - such as McKinley after his assassination.
